Tellus is the first residential building in Arlington, Virginia to anticipate a LEED gold certification. A 16-story structure that combines 254 rental units with ground floor retail and office space, the structure has won bonus density awards and will provide affordable housing and $75,000 in public art contribution to the community. The building will use storm water retention for irrigation, low flow plumbing fixtures, include a recycling room, bike racks and shower facilities for its tenants and obtain 35% of its power from a green source grid.
